    Testimonials

“Catherine has worked extensively with the Centre for many years running full day workshops for avid readers and writers on tour in regional centres as well as at our Centre in Fremantle.

The feed back from these young writers is always so positive. One Year 11 boy in Geraldton wrote: ‘ I had no idea boys could write poetry but now I know I and my friends can and the girls were surprised but loved it! ‘

As a presenter at our Celebrate Reading National Conference in 2015 Catherine’s solo, panel and Chairing sessions were filled with generous and fascinating insights and observations, an endearing self- deprecating humour and an innate capacity to engage the adult audience.”

Lesley Reece, The Literature Centre, Fremantle

“Catherine worked with me in the very early stages of my first novel. She asked the questions I hadn’t asked myself, who and why type stuff, and saw holes I hadn’t tripped in yet…

Catherine is supportive and stern – she is an excellent editor – she’s a brain and she writes beautifully. Catherine Bateson is the real deal.
