2017 – Resolutions
I’m a sucker for resolutions. I love making lists. I love the idea that I get to start all over again in the bright new shiny year and leave last year’s faltering steps behind. I love assessing what went right, what went wrong and what just went as usual. I love the promise of a new start.
I really love that!
I won’t bore you with all my New Year’s Resolutions – I’m picking and choosing from a long list!
- Write more poetry
- Start podcasting
- Set aside some dedicated time to professional reading
- Submit work more regularly
- Work in different places so I don’t feel pinned down in my office
Those aren’t bad ideas to start with – and to make all this easier, I’m cleaning my office and revamping that space. Feels good to throw out stuff, rearrange books and create a little more space.
Missing my daughter who has headed off for Glasgow – but looking forward to the photos and news from the other side of the world. (I think some of the cleaning is actually displacement activity – but at least it’s useful!)
