Monday Inspo

Posted by

Everyone needs inspiration on a Monday! I woke up this morning from a dream in which I had to travel across an unfamiliar city from a Picasso exhibition in order to see a Burne-Jones exhibition. Not a bad dream – except that it was all tied up with getting a cab, rather than seeing the artwork.

What does this say about my subconscious? I don’t think I want to know!

Today’s writing exercise asks you to excavate your subconscious and think about what kind of inner landscape that is. When I say landscape, I do mean landscape. It’s difficult writing about emotions and the sub-conscious, so pinning them to something concrete can really help.

Don’t feel you have to write about a natural landscape – you might choose an urbanscape, a deserted warehouse with cracked windows, a facade with Corinthian columns or a tiny corner of a public garden.
